Yoga & Meditation classes are available at the Medineeds Praana Wellness Studio with our registered yoga instructor. 

What is Yoga & Meditation?

Yoga & Meditation is a holistic and mindful practice that includes physical movements (asana) and breathing (pranayama).

What is Meditation Yoga?

Meditation Yoga is a deeply relaxing and restorative style of yoga that focuses on longer holds of gentle poses. The goal  is to calm the nervous system, allow the body to completely relax and release tension, and promote healing.

The overall pace is extremely slow and gentle.

What to Expect in Class?

Every class starts with a pranayama, which is breath control through different techniques. You will be guided through different poses which are held for 3-5 minutes, using bolsters and blankets for maximum support. At the end of each session there will be a guided meditation followed by spending some time in a final resting pose.

What is Hatha Yoga Flow?

Hatha Flow Yoga is a style of yoga that combines breath work, dynamic flowing sequences and meditative elements. It is faster paced promting relaxation while also leaving you feeling energized. The practice aims to unite the mind, body and spirit through mindful movement and breath awareness.

What to Expect in Class?

The class begins with a pranayama to focus your mind and prepare your body. You will then flow through a series of postures to build strength, flexibility and balance. Modifications are provided to make the practice accessible to all levels. The physical pracice ends with a short meditation to quiet mind and integrate the effects of the practice.

Meditation Yoga

Meditation yoga is ideal for those seeking inner peace, stress relief and mental clarity. This style is well-suited for beginners looking to start a meditation practice, as well as experienced practitioners aiming to deepen their meditation skills.

Hatha Flow Yoga

Hatha Flow Yoga is a dynamic and well-rounded practice. It is suitable for individuals of all levels looking to improve strength, flexibility, balance and overall well being. This style is an excellent choice for those seeking to challenge the body while also calming the mind and spirit.

Yoga & Meditation sessions are led by Mrs. Amani Leslie Msc, a qualified education professional and 200 hours registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance.

Amani combines her in-depth knowledge of biological sciences with her Master's Degree in Education and her love for yoga to bring you a deeply informed and holistic practice that benefits mind and body.
